提案される「彼女の相談、彼女の依頼」。
雪は静かに降り積もり、彼ら、彼女らの今という景色を変えていく。

The answer that they continue to get wrong and never reach

The Service Club undertakes Isshiki Iroha’s request and helps with an event for Valentine’s Day. The event involves the usual members such as Miura, Ebina, Kawasaki and others, aggrandizing the scale even further. In the calm and warm atmosphere lies a slight sense of discomfort that becomes gradually harder to ignore and a feeling that can’t be played off even if you tried to convince yourself that you’re just confused at things you weren’t used to.

Even if you averted your eyes away from what’s genuine, perhaps this time could continue on forever…

Perhaps, it might be better not to notice anything…

A proposal: “Her consultation and her request.”

The snow quietly continues to pile and pile and the scenery called the present of the boys and the present of the girls begin to change.

  1. Thank You for sharing the news 😛

So there are specials for this new release? Are you gonna get them? Will we get so see these goodies?

  2. In vol 10, yui seemed weird right after the infirmary scene, do u guys think she realized yukino has feelings towards 8man???

    • there are lot of scenes where yui got jealous of yukino and hikki are getting along together with their weird dialogues and she felt left out….
she saw the infirmary stare and blanked out…that would explain her surprised reaction when hikki opened the door
Yui carries the fate of Hikki x yukino…if she wants she can get them together …

    • Considering she normally takes a place between them, it always looked like she was blocking something like this from happening.

    • The door was closed, how could she have seen the stare? Let me answer, she couldn’t. Yui was upset because she heard Hachiman ask a personal question to Yukino, which he has never done with Yui, and now she’s starting to have doubts.

    • @Fawkey yes….that’s true….
but they stared for like 18 seconds ….yui could have taken a tiny peek….(do those round window like things on door just deco?)

    • Well, first off, I doubt it’s actually 18 seconds, they just kept the still shot for that long.
Secondly and more importantly, they were completely silent during that time, which means that if Yui was behind the door at the time, she would have come in immediately (barged even), because she would have thought that Yukino was alone in the infirmary (Yukino was waiting for Yui).

    • Okay yui might know sumtin otherwise she wouldnt have look so upset when hikki open the door simple as that. Plus she mightve arrive around when yukino was treating hikkis wound and she heard them talking before opening the door, when she looked at the window of the door, shes just in time to saw them stare face 2 face. Just a theory

    • The only logical reason behind Yui’s blanking out was because she heard Hachiman ask a personal question from Yukino. A thing he has never done for anyone else so far. Being curious is one step to actually being interested in a person, asking out loud is a step towards their heart. Yui may not know this because she’s dumb but she sure felt it and got jealous.

  3. I wonder if there’s going to be a book centered around White Day? Since that sounds just as amusing, because I assume our heroines are going to give “obligatory” chocolates.
On another note, isn’t this basically episode 12?

    • We have already seen a lot of Yui, she has no mystery and is quite boring and dense. I almost skipped the field trip part because she was a very shallow character, I was forcing myself to read the LN just so I could finish it, frankly though that part was a turn off and i don’t want to read that part again. The only reason why people actually follow this novel, anime and manga adaptation is because of Hachiman and Yukino’s characters. The rest are just on the side threatening or strengthening their possible relationship.

    • “Even if you averted your eyes away from what’s genuine, perhaps this time could continue on forever…

Perhaps, it might be better not to notice anything…”

So..Hachiman noticed afterall, that’s in vol 11? Hmm at least he knows that ‘genuine’ thing now, it’s just a matter of accepting or denying it.

    • ummmmmm……. not really…..
its like they are trying to get in as much LN content as possible….
why would they do this? they are not sure about the future…

    • coz there are plenty of anime adapting from light novel experience the same thing as in taking unreleased volume content from the novel and adapt it first in the anime. so theres a possibility. a POSSIBILITY k

    • If volume12 really is the finale of the light novel, if they animate that, even if they include bonus chapters that’s a stretch and seems like not enough for a full 13 episode to guarantee a third season. We can only hope, but wouldn’t bet on it.

    • well if its a short volume, then thatll give them a good reason to animate a more detailed episode rather than cut through the details and rushed through everything like the current season, dont u think?

    • Okay this season was mostly focus on volume 9. Without cutting most of the details theyve produced a 5 episode of one volume. So yeahh its possible they could cover up a 13 episodes of 2 volumes if it LN ends at volume 12 if they dont rush through everything

    • They should have made episode 12 and 13: volume 10.5. Iroha’s date then the whole thing with the newspaper to conclude this season. It would have been perfect.

  4. I wonder what the second paragraph, and the last sentence of the first paragraph imply to the whole story of the boys and girls? Heck, something big is eventually coming up. And unfortunately, this episode’s theme, ‘valentine’ will be animated in the 11st episode of anime. FEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLL.

  5. “Her consultation and her request” – who do you think….
i dont think it’s iroha ……they wouldn’t use such fancy words for iroha-chan
    haruno,miura,yui?

    • If we go with the anime episodes it’s Miura and Kawasaki for Valentines Day and Haruno afterwards 🙂

    • huh? never cross my mind that Haruno request something. She looks like someone who can do anything even when she’s not serious.
well, okay, maybe she’ll put a request for fun.

    • anyway what’s with the use of such fancy words…..? miura or kawasaki’s req wouldn’t require such fancy style of writing….
      new character?
or is just Iroha becoming sly again?

    • I don’t think it’s Iroha either.

Saki will make chocolate for her sister only? I don’t think so. 🙂 I bet she will give some to a certain person too.

since vol 10, it ends with Haruno’s word of worries so I think it’s her consultation and the request should be …. someone (this’s my opinion anyway).

    • i too will go with it being Haruno’s req….
      Kawasaki and iroha are childish
      miura only interested in hayama
the sentence is too girlish for shizuka sensei

the only mystery person left who is also mature is haruno

    • that was a personal request to hikki…..
      this is a club request…..
but yeah as you said there’s a possibility its yukino…..(like how hikki requested help for Christmas event she could request too)
maybe haruno is the trouble maker and she needs help with handling her

  6. they should have used this cover ^^……the sad face yui one made everyone think of bad things about to happen

    • Hmm I’m not sure, Yui’s sad face makes me think that something good is about to happen. Her character’s a simpleton that she would probably think bad of the good. It’s good that Yukino and Hachiman are a bit closer last season, frankly – that’s what made fans of this light novel – Hachiman trying to deserve a most able heroin like Yukino and learning great things about himself in the process. Hachiman looks down on Yui’s intellect and looks up to Yukino’s, without looking up-there is no possibility of progress.

    • current hachiman knows both of them are important….
without yui the club would have fallen apart long back…
i think the sad yui cover may be a summary of yui’s feeling for voll11.

  7. Pffft this blog were basically dominated by vengence. the name of this blog may as well name as vengence instead of kyakka.

anyways the “her consultation and her request”might meant for Yukinoshita.
its even followed by “the snow quietly continues to pile and pile” which is the translation of Yukinoshita?

  8. My view:
Yui sense that Yukino is getting closer to Hikki, and she feels unease about it 🙂 The “averted your eyes away..” probably refers to all three of them. (Bet Iroha will have slight involvement in the realisation part)

Lastly, I can’t wait for the release 🙂 I will continue to read till the end no matter the outcome 🙂

    • Or maybe hikki notice both how they really feel about him. Thats why he averted his eye away from that feeling. Because the only thing hikki has trouble of solving is the human heart so if he tries to make a single mistake, itll turn into quite a mess. So rather than solving it, he just ignores it hence why “averted your eyes away” from whats genuine

    • Yeah, if Hikki abandons his search for something genuine, they can be together forever. At least that’s what the synopsis said.

    • Being together forever with the truth untold is not genuine, it will not solve Hachiman’s request that Yukino accepted. It will only make their relationship a shadow of Hayama’s clique.

    • Hopefully, and I’m not being mean to Yui. It’s just that, considering the principles tackled in this book, Yui getting hurt is inevitable and very consistent. It will be a very beautiful and painful truth.

    • LONG READ
TLDR; HOW I COMPARE OUR TWO HEROINES AS THEY FALL IN LOVE, AND THE IMPACT OF REJECTION FOR BOTH OF THEM

Man, I love Yui and Yukinon. I have nothing agaisnt Yui, in fact. I’m very fond of her that I’m sure it’ll break my heart to see her getting hurt. However, Yui is social. Yui has lots of friends. Yui, in a general sense, could be said as a normal teenage girl. And, like, how many cases of teenage girls getting hurt/ heartbroken because their love were unreturned? Thousands. Millions. It is very common. And in that sense, what Yui will go through when she is faced with the cold and harsh truth, is what millions of other girls had experienced beforehand.

Why, though, do we feel otherwise? Why do we treat this case as special and wrong? Because we are getting attached to the character, namely, Yui herself. So that’s the bias right there. If we, for comparisons sake, strip off our attachment to this character. Then what was left, is a simple and common case of unrequited love. It happens everytime. It is only a case of accepting and moving on.

And I need to mention that sometimes we treat these kind of stories as an escape to the real world. Where there will be happy endings and that the character’s deeds always, always, have a purpose. Like our pink-haired heroine here falling in love.

With Yukinon, however, the fact that she didn’t have any real attachment to anyone; that she was lonely; and that she didn’t have what most girls her age have, would make her more pitiful if she were to not be chosen for the second time. She hold both Yui and Hikki dear to heart, albeit not showing it. She is more fond of them than of her family herself. She smiles and laughs only when she’s with them. They are irreplaceable, and if, someday and somehow, Hikki chooses Yui and not her, I honestly could not imagine how broken she would be.

Yui fell in love first, yes. But Yukinon is different from Yui. She lacks social skill, and she lacks the ability to trust because certain reasons. Yui grew comfortable with Hikki far sooner than Yukinon, because she has always been surrounded by people who don’t have any ill intention towards her. Yukinon grew up in a glaringly vicious environment, whether it’s her own home or school. Yukinon and Hikki’s development is kind of slower, because she herself always took a slower step forward. Not the leap Iroha made. But surely, if one day, Yukinon does fall in love, it would be hard for her to forget, and worse- to be ‘rejected’. Because slower steps, for me, have much more meaning.

    • Actually, I wouldn’t say Yukino is pitiful if she got rejected because there will be deeper implications behind it if Hachiman rejects her. They are the same, both lived a life where one was being looked down on and the other being picked on. That is why Hachiman will not believe Yui’s feelings to be genuine, she will never have the depth of character required to snare Hachiman, only Yukino has that. Yukino has locked herself in a vault, and you know what’s usually in a vault right? Valuable things, perhaps even Hachiman’s ‘genuine’ thing is inside that vault. I do not think Yui is in love with Hachiman, sure she’s got a big crush on him but that’s just it. Yui can’t possibly fathom the reasoning behind true love with that brain of hers at that age. That’s why Hachiman said: someday. Yeah maybe someday when Yui grows as a person or maybe someday when she grows a brain. Hachiman did not close his heart to that possibility because he is kind, though I remember him calling it an ‘irresponsible promise’. So since the title of this light novel is suggestive of romance, the best possible ending is Hachiman going back to being alone, but this time never lonely. After rejecting Yui and accepting his ‘genuine’ thing, they will all be separated to live their own lives but at least now, Hachiman had something ‘genuine’ in the past to look forward to in the future.

    • Ah, yeah. Sorry, matter of wordings. The love I meant was, in fact, that kinda crush. And I agree completely. Well said, though I worry for Yukinon, as her future doesn’t seems promising in terms of family businesses. And the thing is, she’s quite relying on Hachiman now, just like when she asked for him to help her someday. Who knows what could that really be. Nonetheless, let’s enjoy this bumpy ride we have.

    • Well Yukino does not really stike me as helpless. So I presume that the writer will create a big scene where the very able Yukino will be unable to do things. Yukino’s strength is her weakness. That capacity to trust and love without reserve (when she pops, she just can’t stop can she? I kinda relate to that) will be used against her. The world is evil when they use your own values (not your shortcomings) against you.

    • But didn’t Yukino said that already? She said that she only pretend to be able to do anything, while in fact she really can’t do anything herself. She only makes it look like so. And yeah, it’s true that her strength is also her weakness.

    • Yes, she said that but in a totally different context. ‘Pretense’ for her is when she ‘thought’ she could do everything and turned out she couldn’t. She said that it will take time for her to rely/trust someone. So it is consistent to say that when she got sick during the school festival, for her – it was an act of pretense because she was denying the fact that she needed help. Meaning, pretense for her is ‘carrying a cross to big for her’ and convincing everyone that she can manage without their help. Her pretense actually is a form of personal pride and a form of consideration for others whom she did not want to bother.

  9. Today is going so slooooow, I can only watch Ep 12 on Friday in the afternoon and everything is so slow
    Also the vol.11 was delayed …. I’m dying sloooooooowly…

  10. Hm… I just looked the episode one and two and both of them has a different opening from the rest of the season…Maybe they do a different opening for the last two episodes? It would be cool!

  11. No matter how cruel reality is, they will still search for that fairytale ending. Enjoy the vid guys! Not mine tho but enjoy!

  12. well i have only seen the anime and havnt yet started the novel…
will someone please tell me the story’s romance progress???

  13. “Even if you averted your eyes away from what’s genuine, perhaps this time could continue on forever…

Perhaps, it might be better not to notice anything…”

So..Hachiman noticed afterall, that’s in vol 11? Hmm at least he knows that ‘genuine’ thing now, it’s just a matter of accepting or denying it.

  14. I don’t think hachiman it’s the one that will advert his from the something genuine he has alredy done that once, things that will happen i bet that Yui will confess and you should not leave Iroha aside because she is the one that makes the offcial request to the club.

    • Ok sorry if it didn’t make sense,
First, I think that Hachiman it’s not the one that will advert his eyes from reality because he already tried that when they were pretending that everything was fine in volumen 9,
Second, I think Iroha it’s a really important character on this last volumes because she is the one that makes the official request to the service club in the 3 volumes 8, 9 and 11,
Third, I believe Yui will confess or least try to, and will complicate things.
And last, the one has yet to make a request to the club it’s hayama, Haruno can’t do that but let’s not forget that yukino still owes a favor to her sister
Sorry again for the long comment, and if it doesn’t makes sense again.

  15. Point 1. You know what they say: you do it once, you can do it twice, he’s a kid. Kids learn the hard way.

Point 2. Iroha’s role is to ‘fan the fire’, yes she might be important.

Point 3. Yui might not really do that. In the anime, she even rejected Hachiman’s invitation and offer to walk her home, saying that ‘it felt unfair’-she was already sensing something between Yukino and Hachiman.

Point 4. Have you watched the anime?

    • Good Points,
i did see it for the most part it’s just that after reading the novel the anime seemed superfical as you don’t can’t see the usual monologue from hachiman i stopped when Hachiman and Komachi make up.
